African American females in network shows and motion pictures are frequently appeared as the noisy â€Å"ghetto† acting, irate dark young lady who is continually â€Å"telling somebody off†. On-screen character Tyler Perry has been scrutinized for representing African American females as â€Å"big momma†, another negative depiction of dark ladies.
